Charlie Delaney- Science & Math
Charlie Delany brings to EBS experience in many different fields. These experiences range from working in the automotive industry as a technician at a Ford dealership, to extracting microbial DNA from deer ticks to help understand the ecology of Lyme disease. Becoming a teacher has always been a goal for Charlie, and after graduating from Lyndon State College with a B.S in Sustainability Studies he set his sights on achieving that goal. When not in the classroom Charlie can be found out hunting, fishing, mountain biking, or exploring the mountains with his wife and two dogs.
Megan Durling - Humanities
Megan was born and raised in rural Massachusetts, where she passed much of her time eagerly venturing out of doors to camp, track, hike, and kayak. New to the NEK, she spent her early professional years exploring America's cultural and natural richness while teaching in diverse communities across the country. After earning her B.A. in Anthropology and Environmental Studies from Mount Holyoke College, she began her education career with Teach for America in the Mississippi Delta. Megan then took a brief hiatus for graduate school at St. John's College before relocating to teach science and philosophy in Phoenix, Arizona. Throughout her travels, she has kept her love for the outdoors alive, guiding fellow explorers through wild lands as varied as the muddy swamps of the Deep South and the barren crags of the desert Southwest. Seeking both family and rainfall, she and her fiancé have now returned to the East Coast along with their two dogs, where they look forward to settling down and exploring everything the NEK has to offer.
